"As a woman dealing with HPV, your article gives me strength to not feel fully to blame for having this. I think it's important that women realize they're not solely responsible and that their partners need to understand this diagnosis and be supportive. I think its great that you recognize this as a problem in relationships and do what you can to educate both sides."

Dear Doug,

Thanks so much for taking time out of your schedule to write on the topic of endometriosis. For a disease that significantly effects the lives of 89 million women worldwide, there is a lack of accurate information available to women who experience this illness. I have managed 18 years of it so far, and have at least another 20 to look forward to, as I'm only 30 years old. It's taken a toll on my personal life as well as my professional life, as I have experienced discrimination from friends and coworkers alike. It's so much more than just a physical illness, which is why I've taken part of my "professional life" to help women cope with this disease and get accurate information from my research out there to the endo community.

Again, I really appreciate your time, effort and energy on addressing the disease, even from the most basic standpoint. Women who are just coming to learn that they may have this illness need a starting off point that describes it in its most basic terminology. Your article will certainly help them to do so.

Take care and I look forward to reading more on this in the future.

“Doug has been an amazing resource for my questions regarding Women’s Health.  His expertise has been incredibly helpful, and his availability through a social network such as Twitter has made accessing very important information that much easier.  I am so happy that I was able to connect with him, and would recommend him to all other women in the social media sphere.”

Recently had a scare in family. Relative told by DOCTOR she had Stage III melanoma. Thank God, it was Clarkson? level 3. I appreciate the easy to understand narrative, the explanation on the Stages vs Levels. It's hard to find an MD who talks with and not to women.
